May be a little!

Be an Amateur

I was always worried I am an amateur in lot of fields I put my hands on - music, piano, coding, painting, cartooning. I felt like I am trying to become the jack of all trades but becoming pro in nothing.

Thanks to the newsletter from James Clear - The television series Mozart in the Jungle reminds us of the beauty of being an amateur: “You say ‘amateur’ as if it was a dirty word. ‘Amateur’ comes from the Latin word ‘amare’, which means to love. To do things for the love of it.”

All those stuff, I didn't feel the pressure to do. Nobody asked me to do. I just did because I was curious and I felt engaged.

May be being amateur is the meaning of life. Do things out of love for it.

But then who turns professionals and the hard core ones? They are the ones who inspire the amateur ones to pick up a guitar or scribble down a poem.

They should be nothing but professional amateurs!
