pizza night

Two friends were sitting in the office.
She said, “I need a break”
He asked, “Why? What happened?”
“I have been doing the same thing for sometime. I am tired.”
“So you were not enjoying when you were doing it?” He was in doubt.
“I was! But it is always a mix. There is anxiety - how it will end? There is self doubt - Can I do this really good? There are moments when I think something will work and it doesn’t - that hits my mind as a disappointment and a failure. It takes energy. To rise up again. And sometimes I need energy just to let go of somethings I already did so that I can redo them right. Or maybe be i can restart some parts of it.” She paused for a second.
“You enjoyed amidst all these?”
“Yes! Roller coaster is one of the most adventurous rides and what fun is it without the ups and downs. What is it without the surprise drops and rises. You scream, you smiles, you hold the hand of the one sitting near you, you close your eyes tight in fear and terror. Still you enjoy right?” She had a light smile in the tired face.
“Ya, you got to get off the roller coaster. It is just one kind of adventure. You need to walk to the next ride.” He agreed with her.
“Ya and that walk is this break then I suppose.” She said.
And there was a moment for silence.
“I found a new pizza place. House of Duh. They have the best sourdough pizzas. You wanna go?”, he asked.
“Sure let’s go! I like the name already.” Her face was lit up like anything.
They stepped out and took a cab to the House of Duh. They ordered the house of Duh Special pizza.
“So one time I presented this deck, and all this time Maria is sitting by my side and she has not spoken even a single word. And my mind was like, what is happening - is there no questions at all…” She started with her stories.
Part of adventure is telling your stories. And you need breaks to tell those stories. You need to look each other in the eyes, sympathise, criticise, take sides, laugh out loud and then when the night gets dark, tell your bies.
And you have reached your next ride. Time for a nutty ride! Hold tight!
