This too shall (not) pass
I was in the office like any other day. Wrapping up my work and packing my stuff while I saw one of my colleagues in little dimmed down and frustrated. She was also getting out of the office. I walked out a little fast to catch up with her and kicked off a casual chit chat.
And I was right, one of those "bad days" at office that was for her. Doing the stuff that you don't like, feeling no meaning in work, passionate about something else or the want to be in some other city - there was no new story anyways.
I said her, as I unconsciously tell to a lot of people, "Part of life."
She said, "Yes, I am gonna write in my desk This too shall pass "
"No, that's not what I said. I said, this is also part of life!"
There is a big difference between these two I believe. By telling these too shall pass, you are hoping this would become better naturally. Or someone external would make it better for you. And you are just sitting through it trying not to take part in part in that.
No- it's part of your life. Either you embrace it or learn from it. Or you realize that, this is not something I should lie about by quoting "this will get better" or "a good time will follow". No - if you don't want that to be a part of your life, change it.
Always assume, the future days are almost going to be similar to this and think do you actually want this to be a part of your life.
PART OF LIFE POV has two upsides - either you embrace, or you re-route.
