What are you? One good answer.
I have experienced that our life is more about momentum than anything. I sometimes ask this question myself: Who am I? One of the most legitimate answers I feel is I am average of my last 3 days. Most of whatever is going on in my mind is something from last 3 days- some experience that was pleasant or disturbing for me, some problem I am still searching solution for, some emotion I am still to get over with. I feel like 3 days is that sweet spot for things to mature or wither away.
Rather than underlying long term identities like I am a man, I am in this profession, or I am a believer in this – this way of looking at gives you a very present and dynamic answer. It focuses on what occupies you most on this point in time.
If you ask me this question now, I may not tell I am a marketing guy, who believes in domino effect and philosophy graduate. I am a guy who wakes up and starts thinking and writing about my screen play, go for walks in the evening, currently mostly in a state of serenity and peace, asking myself the question of “What is the meaning of life?” three times a day, sleeping peacefully at the end of the day grateful for whatever I got, learning how villagers go on long walks to reach destinations and lastly, as I can recollect as of now, loving the beautiful cold weather. This is like a summary of whatever happened to me around last 3 days. (It is not a formula; it is a way of thinking. So don’t go too strict with it. Let your thoughts decided on its own.)
This also in a way tells the importance of changing your days, despite whatever happened yesterday. You have to start that direction change in mindset and actions today so that you can reach there in 3-4 days. What will you answer if you are asked this question at this point in time: What are you?
